About Us

Hi, I'm Dayna, based out of the Metro Detroit area.  Thank you so much for visiting!  I started Luscious Lips by accident in 2015 as an experiment to heal my own lips. Believe me, I have tried ALL the lip balms. They did nothing for my lips but dry them out more than they were to begin with, sometimes causing embarrassing cracks, rashes and discoloration.

After spending hours in my kitchen melting down all of my butters, oils and waxes I could find, I had healed my lips. I started making larger batches and giving them to my friends and family members and then their friends and family started wanting it! So I guess you could say this is how Luscious Lips by Dayna Gayle started!

In 2017, I decided that the world (ok maybe just the Continental United States) in on my secret and start selling my lip balms to the masses. I have developed a nourishing lip balm with slightly different formulations for both men, women and children. Each one is created to heal even the driest of lips, while focusing on using all natural products.

  • About Lips

A truly effective lip balm should have four distinct qualities.

First, it should be able to heal any damage that has already occurred to the lips.

Secondly, it should be able to soothe and alleviate the pain brought about by the damage.

Third, a lip balm should be able to effectively soften your lips, and not just temporarily, but permanently.

Lastly, an excellent lip balm should also be able to protect your lips from future danger and form a protective layer from what the environment can throw at you.

  • About What to Expect

You WILL have peeling and or flaking occur within the first couple days usage. Do not be discouraged. This is a part of healing that will reveal a smoother, more even look to your lips shortly after.

Because our products have ZERO chemicals, they will change properties based on the weather. Please do not leave in extreme heat as it will liquefy. If left in cold climates, it will be harder to apply. You can warm up your balm for a couple seconds in your pocket, for 20-30 seconds (for non aluminum containers) or by simply holding it in your hands.

If clumping occurs while applying, this will go away once it is on and against your natural body heat.
